FunRaiser is a school fundraising platform operated by Christoph Koch, 132 Pupu Valley Road, 7183 Takaka, Tasman, New Zealand. You can reach us at support@funraiser.nz.

2. What We Collect

We collect the minimum data needed to run the platform:

  • Teachers: Name, email address, school, and bank account details (for payouts).
  • Donors: Name and optional email address. Payment details are handled entirely by Stripe and never touch our servers.
  • Sponsors: Business name, website, logo URL, and email address.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • Processing and displaying donations on fundraiser pages.
  • Sending transactional emails (verification, sponsor notifications).
  • Transferring funds to the school bank account after a fundraiser ends.
  • Displaying sponsor branding on fundraiser pages.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following services to operate FunRaiser:

  • Stripe — payment processing. Stripe handles all card details under their own privacy policy.
  • Supabase — database and authentication hosting.
  • Amazon Web Services (SES) — transactional email delivery.
  • Vercel — application hosting.

5. Donor Privacy

Donor names are displayed on fundraiser pages unless the donor chooses to remain anonymous. Donor email addresses are never displayed publicly and are only used to send optional donation receipts.

6. Data Retention

We retain fundraiser and donation data for as long as needed for record-keeping and payout purposes. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting support@funraiser.nz.

7. New Zealand Privacy Act 2020

We comply with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information at any time.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (keeping you logged in). We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
